Semi-Rigid Carbon Fiber Insole (1.1 mm)

My orthopedic surgeon suggested semi-rigid insoles to reduce pain and further injury to my big toe joint. I've been using the Tega insoles for 4 months now. They are really good at reducing the amount of flex and they fit well in my walking shoes and heavy hiking boots. I didn't know if, or how well, these would work with my orthotics. I'm happy to say the Tega insoles and my custom orthotics work great together! I use the Tega insoles every day, and got another pair to leave in the shoes I use the most. The surgeon said that daily use would help decrease the wear and tear on the cartilage and bone in my foot. The pain in my foot isn't completely gone, but is much improved. The Tegas do what I hoped they would.

I lost my big toe and these insert help a lot.

Recommended by my podiatrist. Took a week or so to get used to the new feeling but they have resolved my issue with my great toe joint. I do wish Tega would take the short amount of time to dull the sharp edges which the packaging warns about. Not only is the as received condition hazardous to fingers it also damaged the bed of one of my shoes. It only takes about five minutes of time to resolve the issue with emery cloth.

The W8 fit my size 8 shoe easily, and it will fit well in my 8.5 size as well (I tried a 9 and it wouldn't fit). It is very thin, so it doesn't take up much space, but minimally flexible, which is what my foot ortho recommended for my mid-foot arthritis. The company was FABULOUS to deal with, their customer service for helping me switch sizes was just perfect. There's no arch in this model, which means right and left are interchangeable, which is nice; it goes under the shoe's regular arch support insole. Price was very reasonable for the quality.

These were perfect to support my plantar plate as I healed from surgery once I was out of the post-surgical shoe. They are rigid but not uncomfortable, just enough to do what they are designed to do. They were easy to slip in and out of my shoe underneath the insert.

I had a big toe fusion procedure and my podiatrist recommended shoes with stiff rocker bottoms. My old shoes without that design were hard to walk in, but with the insoles I can use them without pain, at least for short to medium distances. Great product!

The carbon fiber insoles have changed a lot with my feet. It feels like they bring the ground up to my foot and make them more balanced and stable. I'm looking forward to putting them into my running shoes come spring.

I have big toe pain, hallux rigidus. Have done injections and now scheduled for fusion. Pediatrist and surgeon said I needed something to firm up the bend in my shoe soles. Wish I’d had these years ago. Tried the 1.3 carbon but prefer the 1.1 with a little more flex. The customer service is excellent, fast and personal. I'm a dude with several shoes and have five pair of 1.1 Tega Semi-Rigid carbon fiber insoles now for my running shoes, sneakers and loafers. Paired them with Pedag 172 leather sock liners and now all good. I’ll wear them till surgery and then continue afterwards.

Already after using them once to walk on the treadmill it makes a gigantic difference. It's going to take a little while to get used to them in terms of wearing them for extended periods of time but I think there will be no problem whatsoever. Thus far, it is really helping with my foot. Thank you!

I'm so glad I found the Tega semi-rigid carbon fiber insoles. I have used one the last couple of years to support my right foot while dealing with arthritis in my big toe. In January I had it surgically fused and have recently purchased my second insole for another pair of shoes while I recover from the surgery. It makes a big difference in my mobility and recovery.

Stiff but tough work like i need climb ladder no discomfort

These inserts help my arthritic great toe to not bend as much thereby causing less pain when exercising. These are less than half the cost of all other semi-rigid carbon fiber insoles I found online and they are perfect.

Have not tried them yet
